Moreover, postcards can be kept as souvenirs. This extends the life and influence of a campaign message.

Lastly, the saturation of digital ads may lead to a renewed appreciation for physical campaign materials like postcards.

Help us write Get Out the Vote postcards that include a social message to:

• Persons who score highly on a Yale Program on Climate Change Communication model of, “alarmed about the climate”;
• Persons who live in the only three House districts in Texas that are competitive; and
• Persons who voted in Presidential but not mid-term elections.

You can do this with a postcard design based on over 600 studies with control groups which concluded:

• Written messages with a social pressure piece were twice as effective as the next best method;
• The second best method was a written message with how and when to vote;
• That are mailed no more than two weeks before the election;
• That contain no reference to party, candidate, nor major issue.

The postcards also contain:

• Messages in Spanish and English;
• Original artwork of a daughter beaming at mother for voting;
• Hand-written message and hand-written addresses; and
• An appeal to voting for your family and its future.
